Inked Experiments: Exploring in a Sketchbook

Inked Experiments:
Exploring Texture and
Form in a Sketchbook
This project showcases a variety of illustrations and sketches from my personal sketchbooks. I create these visual experiments using traditional mediums like pencil, pen, and ink, focused primarily on black and white drawings. Some pieces are inspired by tattoo concepts and designs that I think would translate powerfully to body art. Others are more general illustrations of objects, animals, symbols, lettering, and freeform shapes. This serves as a collection of my favorite recent works from my sketchbooks.

I am showcasing these as examples of my illustration style and technical skills. Whether flowing organic shapes, precise line work, or shading textures, these pieces highlight my abilities. I have a particular passion for black and white art with high contrast. The works in this project have potential for tattoos, graphic prints, t-shirt designs, and a range of decorative purposes.

I am open to creating custom commission illustrations or expanding on these concepts. If you see a design you think would make a meaningful tattoo or have an idea you would like illustrated in this style, please send me a message! I welcome new creative projects and collaborations.

Let me know your thoughts on these illustrations in the comments and please reach out if you are interested in having me bring your vision to life with original artwork!
General Process I take for Illustrations
1. Start off with a pencil sketch.
2. Trace that sketch with a fine-tip pen (0.03).
3. Remove pencil lines.
4. Add thicker lines (0.5), then refine and add more details and dimensions.
6. Bring it into Adobe Illustrator, remove the background, and make it into vector art.

Custom illustration commissions make meaningful gifts, unique business branding, and personalized home decor. I would be excited to hear your ideas and collaborate on bringing your vision to visual life!

I am eager to put my artistic skills to dedicated use designing, illustrating, and conceptualizing exactly what you have in mind. Please include details on your needs and desired outcomes, budget or rate expectations, and any reference material that could help me quickly understand the scope and style of your request.
